  1. Treasured memories of strapping at endurance rides, port around a campfire, hunting quail at Marnoo and ducks at Gunbower, watching the magic happen at the end of a needle and thread, watching our dogs do what we trained them to and delighting in it all. Gone too soon. Condolences to Jenny and Joanne and families. Roger and Jann Barbetti and Jollab Purdey (Gus)

    • Geoff, we miss you deeply mate. I will look back on our duck hunting adventure and treasure the laughs we had as we walked through the bush to find the tinny. The time we went fishing and caught nothing but laughs. The time you ran down a goat. Far out you can run quick. When you took me hunting and talked me through how to steady my self. Geoff this world will not be the same with out you. I love you mate. Rest in peace.

  4. CONDOLENCE GEOFFREY JOLLY
The Landsborough Community is deeply saddened to lose a much respected Landsborough person in Geoff Jolly who passed away suddenly, on the 29th of September. We offer our deepest sympathy to Jenny and Joanne and family’s.
Geoff grew up in Landsborough and although moving to Marnoo with his family, Geoff still called Landsborough home. Geoff together with his best friend Alan Salter brought horse riding to Landsborough both as recreation and a competitive sport. Geoff’s enthusiasm lead him to have the Landsborough Pyrenees Etched in the records as arguably the best and safest horse riding in the state. Geoff was our Landsborough ride course designer and for over 25 years he designed the course for local rides, a number of Victorian State Championships and in 2002 designed the Landsborough course for what is still regarded as the Tom Quilty National Championship safest and best ride ever. Such was Geoff”s love of and commitment to horse riding and Landsborough he would often call to say he had another ride for Landsborough in the pipeline. We acknowledge and are indeed indebted to Geoff for his friendship and loyalty to his “Home town of Landsborough.”

I have known you for a very long time. From back in our Endurance competing days, and also through your saddlery skills. You have either made new, or repaired many a piece of my driving harness. The last being the patent leather restoration you did on a pony jinker which we showed at Sydney Royal with great success.
Rest in peace my friend. The world has lost a beautiful person. You will be so terribly missed….
