  3. Angela, will be missed.
She would come into my shop for a chat or for something a bit different to what she herself had made for the pantry.
As a long time friend of the family Angela had some stories to tell about many cakes, for many occasions.
    RIP

  4. Deepest sympathy to Pete, Johnie, Barry and their families on the passing of Angela. A long time friend who could be feisty and obstinate but was also extremely kind hearted and who dearly loved her family, her cooking, her markets, her dancing and weekly lunches and chatting with everyone. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Terry

  5. Goodbye to a beautiful lady who I was privileged to get to know through my job at NGSC. My thoughts are with her family at this sad time ? Carmel Pulley xx

  6. Dear Angela,
I have been very moved by the farewell your family gave you today. It takes me back to the days of my childhood when my family visited yours in Tally Ho – then still very rural.
I loved visiting Uncle Tom (my father Keith’s brother) and Auntie Margot very much, but most of all I was thrilled to be with my cousins: Katharine and Angela. You, Angela, were the perfect older sister/cousin: knowledgeable, funny, a bit bossy, always able to make us laugh and, best of all, able to scare us with amazing creepy stories!
I was enchanted when I stayed the night: I never knew what to expect and as a result I have always treasured these memories especially. As time went on I have delighted in hearing news of your adventures through Katharine, whom I see regularly.
I am sending my very best wishes to your family, who will miss you dreadfully!
    With much love,
    Ninka (Watts, née Gilchrist)

  7. I remember most fondly my steadfast, wise and supportive Aunt and Godmother Angela who helped me through some tough moments in my childhood. When I was really struggling with the kids at our new primary school in Creswick Angela made sure I went back to school and helped me understand the importance of standing up for myself. Growing up she would regularly supply my brothers and I with her home-made delicacies which we always looked forward to. And it was Angela who helped me get my driver’s licence as an 18 year old. Now as a father of four with my eldest learning to drive I still think of her thoughtfulness back then. And I also remember the annual lotto or scratchy ticket sent for my birthday. I never did win the lottery but I was lucky enough to have such a caring and generous godmother throughout my life. My very best at this time to my cousins Pete, Barry and John.

  8. I have very fond memories of my strong and generous Aunt Angela who was always very supportive and quick witted. I always looked forward to the wonderful sweets that she made to sell at markets and also to give to myself and my three brothers. We all spent much cherished time at Greens Creek growing up, riding motor bikes and having a great time with our extended family on holidays breaks. Aunt Angela was also very supportive to me when I got my drivers license aged 18. I was very lucky to have such a wonderful, caring and thoughtful aunty growing up. My very best at this very difficult time to my cousins Pete, Barry and Johnny and all their families.
